Marbling is a labor-intensive process but actually comes to you ready to use: all fabrics are preshrunk and heat-set for color-fastness, so no need to pretreat. (If you're worried about that heirloom piece you're working on, pretreat in a gentle hand-wash.) We aim to cut material on the grain. Every ten yards that we cut off a bolt, we tear to get the straight of grain. When we pretreat, we cut extra to allow for shrinkage, and in that way you get as close to the yardage as you ordered. Large pieces are serged before pretreating to prevent raveling and stray threads that can create "lines" in the marbling process.

WHY NO PICTURES of the Products? Good question. Marbling creates unique pieces, and for us to put a picture up of each package, each piece, would be time consuming, very expensive, and probably lead to unhappy customers because you wouldn't be getting "exactly" what's in the picture. So we've given you a basic description. You can be pleasantly surprised! Or, if you want to know exactly what you're getting, you can browse our Etsy items.
